Medication Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaws (MRONJ) – Again ? !
MRONJ represents disordered healing of bone with associated osteomyelitis, typically (but not always), following trauma to the maxilla or mandible, principally following dental extraction in patients, at-risk from the use of densoumab and bisphosphonates for the management of osteoporosis, bony lytic lesions of multiple myeloma and metastases to the bone, typically seen in breast and prostate cancer.
