The ADA NSW Recent Graduates Committee brought members together last Saturday for After Hours, an afternoon of conversation and connection at The Rose of Australia in Erskineville. The event welcomed recent graduates and final-year dental students.
The informal setting was designed to encourage relaxed conversation, giving attendees the opportunity to connect with peers and share experiences about life beyond dental school.
The afternoon also offered access to more experienced members of the profession, including Dr Derek Mahony, Specialist Orthodontist and ADA NSW Councillor. Derek took the opportunity to meet and chat with the next generation of dental professionals, while also answering questions from attendees.
After Hours is part of ADA NSW’s broader program of events, courses, and professional development opportunities for early-career dentists. Looking ahead to 2027, this will include the From Setbacks to Success webinar series and live panel sessions, offering further opportunities to learn from others and engage with the wider dental community.
