ADA NSW is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Mark Morrin as President and Dr Sophie Halpin as Vice-President following the Council meeting after the 2026 AGM on Friday, 25 September.
Dr Mark Morrin, President
Dr Morrin owns and operates a large private practice in Newcastle comprising of associate dentists, oral health therapists and hygienists. He has held several roles within ADA NSW including as President, Divisional representative, Committees, Council and has been on the Board for the past four years. He was also on the Federal ADA Council for three years. Dr Morrin is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is registered as a student at law.
Dr Morrin expresses his commitment to:
- Building on projects initiated by previous Boards to drive growth and strategic goals
- Enhancing the member experience and value proposition through innovation, agility, and engagement
- Ensuring ADA NSW remains a trusted and valued partner for members at every stage of their career
- Establishing strong foundations for long-term sustainability.

Dr Sophie Halpin, Vice-President
Dr Halpin is Chair of the ADA NSW Advocacy Committee and has been a spokesperson on a range of media issues, including on water fluoridation, Dental Health Week and for access to oral health for people in regional and remote areas.
Currently based in Dubbo, she is Chair of the ADA NSW Western Division Branch. Dr Halpin is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
