The 88th Annual Moxham Cup was held on Thursday 25 September 2025 at Concord Golf Club. Hosted by the ADA NSW Branch, the Moxham Cup is a traditional highlight in the dental sports calendar.

As we look back over the years, the weather has not always favoured us, but on this 88^th occasion the sun was shining and the course beckoned.  It was in pristine condition and we thank Concord Golf Club, the groundsmen and the pro shop for their efforts in assuring we could maximise our golfing prowess.

The prestigious Moxham Cup event was instigated by Sydney dentist Dr Harry Moxham in 1929. He donated the trophy we play for today which is made of solid gold, apparently supplied by the dentists back in the day. He presented the trophy for many years and it is very special that we are able to gather each year to keep the nearly 100-year-old Moxham Cup Golf Day alive.

Friendships, both old and new, are enjoyed annually among our fraternity and reinforce the importance of tradition within the dental community. The caterers and staff ensured the golf was capped off suitably, treating us to a delicious lunch.

We were then welcomed by ADA NSW President Dr Dominic Aouad and ADA NSW CEO Jae Redden and the 2025 Moxham Cup was presented by Dr Aouad to the day’s winner, Dr Andrew Prideaux.  Dr James Digges was runner-up with Dr George Nguyen taking out the Scratch prize. Rob Dulieu, of RWD Dental Image, was the sponsor’s winner.

Thank you to the Sports and Social Committee, and especially Dr Andrew Prideaux, Dr Leonard Leung and Dr Mark Sinclair for your support and help. There is considerable administration needed in the lead up to make the day run smoothly.

I would also like to thank Allison and Claire from the ADA NSW Centre for Professional Development for their attention to detail. Their assistance and efforts were appreciated.

Once again, thank you to our very generous sponsors. We were able to reward those who took out a place with magnificent prizes and presented gifts to the many other golfers who excelled on the day. Lucky door prizes also meant every player had a chance to take home a memento.

We are looking forward to next year, the 89^th Annual Moxham Cup.  We hope to see all the regulars and the many new players vying to have their name on this special gold cup.
