Most of us will be aware that under our professional indemnity insurance agreements, we are entitled to legal advice when issues arise as a result of liability existing in the clinical care we provide. Normally any advice outside the scope of your professional indemnity insurance agreement is an independent service that is both organised by yourself and provided at your cost.
However, all ADA NSW members (regardless of insurer) can access a free, 30-minute phone consultation on a range of commercial and personal matters that is provided by HWL Ebsworth Lawyers (hwlebsworth.com.au/ ).
The scheme provides answers to commonly occurring issues, alerts a member to the fact that they may have a legal issue and offers guidance with respect to dealing with that issue. Generally, there is no limit to the number of times you can use this service during the year; however, each occurrence must be around a different subject.
Members wishing to access this service should call ADA NSW Advisory Services Administration Officers on 8436 9944 or email advisory@adansw.com.au to obtain a reference number for the day they wish to access the legal advice.

They do not set out to provide comprehensive information about a topic and they are not legal advice.
