Dr Ajesh George is a Professor of Interprofessional Oral Health at Western Sydney University and Director of the Australian Centre for Integration of Oral Health- a leading national research centre. Dr George is a renowned expert globally in integrating oral health into primary care and training non-dental professionals to promote oral health. His work has influenced policy and practice nationally/internationally and has been recognised by key bodies including the World Health Organisation. Over the last two decades he has also partnered with numerous oral health services to foster a research culture and mentor clinicians. Prof George has over $8.3M in funding (including NHMRC/MRFF), > 170 publications, 200+ conference presentations, 24 research awards and a H-index of 39 with over 4600 citations. He has 18 PhD/Masters completions and currently supervises 11 higher degree students. Prof George was recognised as one of the top 2% scientist worldwide across three years (2021, 2024, 2025).
