Dr Craig Brown graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with Second Class Honours from the University of Sydney in 1986. He is a general dental practitioner and has been practising in Manly, Sydney, since 1988. Craig worked for ADA NSW Advisory Services on a part-time basis for over 10 years, firstly as a Peer Advisor and subsequently in a consultancy capacity. He holds an appointment as Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Dentistry and Health Sciences at Charles Sturt University and was admitted as a Fellow of both the Academy of Dentistry International and the Pierre Fauchard Academy in 2015 and the International College of Dentists in 2021. Craig has had numerous articles on dento-legal matters published in The NSW Dentist and the Guild Insurance Annual Dento-Legal Review and currently consults as an Ahpra-approved dental facilitator and auditor, providing individually-developed one-on-one educational programs to practitioners to enable them to meet specific regulatory requirements. He has presented widely within Australia and at the FDI World Dental Congress. Craig was the recipient of the ADA NSW Award of Merit in 2021 and currently hosts webinars and podcasts for the Federal ADA in his role as a Clinical Media Advisor.
