Course Outline
This full day course aims to provide dentists with an understanding of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJD), bruxism, and dental sleep medicine. Participants will gain knowledge about the fundamentals, principles, and treatment strategies related to these conditions, enabling them to enhance the quality of care provided to their patients.
Dr Amanda Phoon Nguyen will discuss common TMJD, bruxism and sleep disordered breathing symptoms, screening, evidence-based treatment approaches for TMJD and bruxism, and her approach to clinical examination, history-taking, and patient interviews. She will also cover the associations between temporomandibular joint disorders, sleep disorders, and bruxism and conclude with live discussion and case presentations.
Participants will be equipped with more skills to improve patient outcomes and enhance their practice in these areas of dentistry.
