Surgical Draping
An increase in the number of surgical procedures performed within private dental practices has resulted in an increased demand for effective surgical aseptic techniques. Creating and maintaining a sterile field is an essential component of the aseptic technique and this course explores these principles.
This hands-on course aims to assist the practitioner and/or assistant to master the skills required to ensure an aseptic environment and to follow set surgical protocols.
Attend this course to receive a better understanding of the infection control requirements for a surgical procedure, the skills to effectively place sterile surgical drapes, how to perform an effective surgical handwash and to correctly apply sterile gloves.

- Correct hand scrubbing techniques
- Optimal sterilization and wrapping of surgical instruments
