The 86th Annual Moxham Cup was held on Thursday 28th of September 2023 at Concord Golf Club. Hosted by the ADA NSW, the Moxham Cup is a highlight in the dental sports calendar.

Sydney dentist, Harry Moxham was the instigator of the Moxham Cup in 1929. He donated the trophy we play for today. The Moxham Cup itself is made of solid gold apparently supplied by the dentists back in the day. He presented the trophy for many years.

2023 saw one of the largest fields in many years. We welcomed Heather Carr, President of the Canadian Dental Association and overseas and interstate visitors who travelled to attend the Federation Dentaire International Conference.

The weather was perfect, a sunny Australian spring day we were proud to show off. The course was in pristine condition and we thank Concord Golf Club, the groundsman, the pro shop, the caterers and staff for ensuring the day was a success.

Immediate Past-President of ADA NSW Dr Rohan Krishnan presented the awards for the 2023 Moxham Cup. The winner was Dr Kim Wagstaffe. Dr Angelo Giallussi was Runner-Up with Dr Ellis Vakirtziz taking out the Scratch prize. Scott Hutchinson from Credabl was the Sponsor’s Winner.

I would like to thank Allison from the ADA NSW office for her attention to detail and also Mark Sinclair who helped ensure the day ran smoothly. Their assistance and efforts were appreciated.

Once again thank you to our very generous sponsors. We were able to reward those who took out a place with magnificent prizes and presented gifts to the many other golfers who excelled on the day.

We are looking forward to next year - the 87th Annual Moxham Cup. We hope to see all the regulars and the many new players attempting to put their name on this special gold cup.
