Why are membership fees split between ADA NSW and Federal ADA?
Until 2025, your ADA membership fees were collected via one invoice containing a separate membership to ADA NSW and the Federal ADA. We are now presenting the membership fees as two invoices. While ADA NSW issues its invoice for the branch services, the Federal ADA issues their own.
By separating the fees, we aim to:
- Improve transparency
- Help members better understand the full value of each membership
- Clearly highlight the complementary roles of your State and Federal associations
- Provide flexibility to subscribe to the services you value.
This change is designed to give you a clearer understanding of where your membership investment goes and the distinct benefits provided by each organisation.
Below is an overview of the different benefits provided by ADA NSW and the Federal ADA.
How does ADA NSW support members?
At the branch level, ADA NSW is your professional community that strengthens your practice with Peer Advisors who assist with any issue related to your practice, including handling difficult patients, managing complaints, navigating dento-legal matters, government schemes, privacy concerns and clinical guidance. ADA NSW membership also provides discounts to face-to-face CPD through onsite facilities, significant savings on professional indemnity insurance with Guild, mentoring, concierge knowledge centre services and more.
How does the Federal ADA support members?
At the federal level, ADA sets the standards that protect your profession and keep you practicing safe and compliant, with effective national advocacy that amplifies your voice and shapes the future of dentistry.
Together, ADA NSW and the Federal ADA work in partnership to support you at both a national and local level. To access the full range of branch and federal member benefits, both memberships should be renewed as they are issued.
