Irrigation with a TGA-approved irrigant (generally 1, 4 or even 6% sodium hypochlorite) is an essential part of successful endodontic treatment. However, there is very little said about the delivery method or the time the irrigant should be in contact with the infected pulp remnants or indeed the canal walls.
