A usual work day of back to back appointments was interrupted by some great news for Mullumbimby dentist, Dr Meritxell Jimenez.
Dr Jimenez answered a phone call on a recent Tuesday advising she had won an Apple Watch Series 11, valued at $679. She was one of many members to update their membership profile earlier this year by 19 April and renew their full membership. Dr Jimenez felt joy when she knew the Apple Watch was on its way.
“That’s amazing! I never win anything,” she said. “It’s my lucky day.” Originally from Barcelona in Spain, Dr Jimenez came to Australia some time ago to take a break in her life and seek new adventure.
After experiencing COVID whilst living in Victoria she then moved to NSW and started working as a dental assistant. She passed her dental exams and then worked as a dentist at National Dental Care in the Northern Rivers area.
She then joined Bangalow Holistic Dentist dental practice in the NSW Far North Coast region and has been working there two years. She is enjoying working and living in the area and is currently studying post-graduate qualifications. Dr Jimenez recently renewed her membership and has been an ADA NSW member since November, 2023.
As well as the Apple Watch being useful for work, Dr Jimenez will use the prize for outdoor adventures, such as hiking and camping. She has requested the Apple Watch in a space grey colour.
To qualify for the prize, members had to update their details by 19 April this year and renew their membership by 30 June. The prize draw took place on Tuesday 7 July at the ADA NSW offices.
