Dental Trauma Management: The Critical First Steps

Dr Qiushi Zeng

This presentation focuses on the immediate assessment and management of dental trauma, with emphasis on the critical decisions made in the first moments following injury. It will provide a practical, evidence-based approach to assessing the injury, prioritising treatment, and managing common traumatic dental injuries to maximise long-term outcomes.

Dr Qiushi Zeng graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Sydney in 2013, achieving first class honours and was a recipient of the Pierre Fauchard Academy Award for Academic Excellence. Dr Zeng had extensive experiences as a general dentist in both public and private sectors, and was involved in undergraduate dental programs as a clinical educator. Driven by a passion for Endodontics, Dr Zeng went on to complete a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry at the University of Melbourne. After her return to Sydney, Dr Zeng is currently working in private practice in Castle Hill. She is a committee member of the Australian Society of Endodontology and has a strong commitment to advancing the field.
