Platinum Dental operates a modern, highly rated, digital clinic at Nelson Bay, in close proximity to Newcastle. We are a private family clinic and pride ourselves on providing high-quality, patient-centric care in our fully equipped, state-of-the-art facility. We appreciate work life balance, as such we are not open on weekends or late evenings.

The Opportunity

Due to a departing practitioner, we have an immediate opening for a skilled General Dentist. You will not be starting from scratch – the successful candidate will inherit a fully booked, established patient list from day one. Nelson Bay is home to a large population of adults aged 50+, with a median age significantly higher than the NSW average. This creates exceptional demand for comprehensive dental care, including restorative, implant, cosmetic and long-term maintenance treatment. Patients genuinely value their oral health, are committed to ongoing care, and appreciate building lasting relationships with their dental team. We are flexible in our search, while we would prefer a full time dentist we can accommodate the right candidate between 2-5 days a week, 9am to 5pm.

  • High Earning Potential: Highly competitive 40% commission structure on an already matured and busy appointment book. Confident general dentists can comfortably expect standard production of $4,000–$5,000+ per day. More if doing more complex treatments and cases,

Requirements:

  • Current, unrestricted registration with AHPRA.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience/ Working in Australia .

About the role

The Dental Surgery in Belconnen is a well-established Medibank and HCF preferred practice located in North Canberra. For more than 30 years, we’ve been providing high-quality dental care to our community while building a reputation for exceptional patient service and long-term relationships.

Our modern practice is equipped with advanced technology, including KaVo, Sirona and Planmeca dental units, D4W software, digital radiography, a TRIOS intraoral scanner, Airflow unit, CEREC Primescan and Primemill, and the Osstem T2 CBCT system.

We provide a comprehensive range of treatments, including general dentistry, implants, crowns and bridges, endodontics, paediatric dentistry and aesthetic dentistry. You’ll be supported by a highly experienced team of long-standing dental assistants who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative environment.

We are seeking an experienced Associate Dentist to join our team on a part-time basis from September 2026, with the opportunity to increase your working days and transition to a full-time role from January 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is looking to join an established practice with modern technology, an experienced support team and the opportunity to transition into a full-time role.

Key Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration

Experienced Dentist – Wollongong NSW

Ellen Street Dental, a modern 6 chair, long established practice on the Southern fringe of Wollongong’s CBD is looking for a full time Dentist (4 days each week). This vacancy is arising as one of our dentists is returning to the UK in July. Ours is a general practice, with multi-generational long term families as well as a steady stream of 1000 new patients each year. Restorative work, crown and bridge, endodontics and general exams and cleans makes up the bulk of the work.

There is scope within the practice for our dentists to also focus on their areas of special interest, such as Invisalign, injectables, mandibular advancement splints for sleep disorders and oral surgery. The practice has new equipment, intra oral scanners, OPG and nitrous. We are not preferred providers nor see NSW Health voucher holders, but we do see CDBS and Veterans Affairs gold card patients.

Our clinicians are supported by two ancillary clinicians (hygienist & OHT) and by experienced long term and qualified DA’s, friendly, professional and competent receptionists and a long term solid practice manager. We value a work life balance and work collaboratively with each other, mentoring and helping each other find the best outcomes for our patients. Wollongong is well supported by specialists and we have excellent working relationships with them. This position commences towards the end of July.

The successful candidate must hold bachelor or doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline including Dental Science, Dental Surgery and/or Dental Medicine, registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra), relevant experience with at least three years’ clinical practice and the ability to satisfy and maintain a Working with Children Check.
