Advanced training in the use of the dental operating microscope

Part 2 of this course is aimed at dentists who already have experience with using a microscope but want to enhance their skill level.

PART 2 – TEAM APPROACH
This course (Part 2) will emphasise the team approach necessary when using the microscope. The smooth and successful integration of the microscope into your practice is a team effort. You are encouraged to bring your chairside assistant to Part 2.

Part 2 will emphasise training in four-handed dentistry specific to creating a microscope enhanced general practice, including the efficient use of rubber dam and other clinical skills.

This “hands-on” course will demonstrate how the enhanced magnification and illumination provided by the dental operating microscope can be applied to almost all clinical situations. These include the diagnosis andtreatment of caries, cracks and fractures, pit and fissure restorations, all stages of cavity, veneer and crown preparations and endodontic, periodontal and oral surgery procedures.

Your presenters include a specialist endodontist, two general practitioners and a microscope-trained chairside assistant, all with extensive microscope experience who look forward to sharing their knowledge with you. All reference material will be supplied.

Not sure of your skill level using the microscope? Consider enrolling in both Part 1 and Part 2 for the best learning experience.

Please be advised that both dentists and assistants wishing to attend both ‘Part 1’ and ‘Part 2’ will need to register for each course separately.
