The use of rubber dam is mandatory in all states of Australia while performing endodontic treatment. Dr Steven Cohn, a specialist endodontist in Sydney, explores in detail the placement of rubber dam in the anterior and posterior dentition. In this video Dr Cohn gives recommendations on the type of dam, clamps, punches and forceps that we can use during endodontic treatment. He also describes special techniques for the use of rubber dam around porcelain jacket crowns and traumatised teeth. A simple method of repairing torn rubber dam is also described.
