Tooth autotransplantation and Management of compromised Teeth / Implants
Tooth autotransplantation is an excellent treatment option for the replacement of a congenitally missing or failing tooth. It offers multiple advantages in time, cost, aesthetics, and very high long-term success rates. In this lecture series we will explore the autotransplantation treatment concept, including biological principles, digital and clinical procedures, treatment indications and outcomes.
Many adults are not candidates for autotransplantation. In these cases, difficult decisions must be made whether to retain or replace a compromised tooth. Increasingly, we are faced with the same decision when managing ailing or failing dental implants. As part of this lecture day, we will review the decision-making process and treatment options available for management of severely periodontally compromised teeth and implants.
