ADA NSW Practice Services Manager announced 2019 SHEA International Ambassador

The manager of the newly launched Practice Services, Kylie Robb, has been selected as a 2019 International Ambassador for the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA).

The SHEA International Ambassadors Program brings emerging leaders from around the world in the field of healthcare epidemiology and infection prevention to the United States for training, exposure to current science, and connections to the leaders in the field.

Kylie is one of only 18 people selected as an International Ambassador for 2019 and only the sixth person from Australia since the program began in 2009.

In a letter congratulating Kylie on her selection, the President of SHEA, Hilary Babcock  wrote, “we commend you for your commitment to advancing healthcare epidemiology, infection prevention, and the goals of SHEA in your country and region. SHEA received several excellent applications and we were impressed by the calibre of your application.”

“This program and exposure to world leading experts in infection control is an opportunity to gain further knowledge of the latest scientific content, research and expertise related to infection prevention – and pass that knowledge onto members,” Kylie said.

“On behalf of ADA NSW, we congratulate Kylie on this award. Ultimately, it is members who will benefit from Kylie’s exposure to world leaders in the field of infection prevention and control as she will share her learnings with members through courses and practice reviews,” ADA NSW CEO, Stes Stengos, said.

Kylie will travel to America in April for a week-long program.
