The move to Level 1 restrictions
8 May 2020
The Dental Board of Australia announced yesterday evening that all dental practitioners in Australia can now begin to move to level one restrictions, effective as of 8th May 2020.
Dental practitioners are advised that NSW Health and ACT Health may vary this response according to local prevalence or hot spots of COVID-19 in NSW and the ACT in the future. We are working closely with NSW Health and ACT Health and will inform members of any local changes or concerns they raise.
Screening patients for COVID-19 risk and assessing the risk of transmission in your practice setting remains an important focus for Level 1 dental practice restrictions. Practice management for social distancing continues and infection prevention and control precautions that address the level of risk of transmission remain.
ADA NSW completely supports the move to Level 1 restrictions. We wish you a smooth transition in moving back towards more regular dental practise and remind you that many COVID-19 resources are available here.
Sending you a smile today and enjoy the weekend
