Crown lengthening may be indicated where adequete ferule is not available for crown placement, for increased aesthetics in people with high lip lines and for exposing subgingival fractures in teeth. Dr David Grossberg graduated from the University of Pennsylvania as a specialist periodontist and subsequently moved to Sydney to practice. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology and in 2003 to 2004 he was presidnet of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists. Currently he is an Honorary Specialist Clinical Associate at the University of Sydney Dental Hospital and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.
