Wes O’Donnell is a very experienced solicitor and workplace relations with approximately 20 years’ experience.
‘I began my career working as a commercial and employment lawyer and, through that, was lucky enough to get the opportunity to work on some exciting and complex workplace relations matters. I soon discovered that my real passion was with workplace relations consulting. I enjoy consulting because it enables me to become part of the solution, rather than being perceived as part of the problem. Over the last 14 years, I’ve been lucky enough to hold senior workplace relations roles in both Australia and the UK, including a stint at the Royal Bank of Scotland in London during the depths of the GFC.’

Wes’s expertise in workplace relations lies in:

Policy and advocacy including Modern Award variation
Workplace investigations
Workplace mediation

His role at HR Assured involves managing and overseeing a large Workplace Relations and Advisory Team which provides a complete workplace relations solution to a growing membership including approximately 35,000 calls into HR Assured’s Telephone Advisory Service each year. 
HR Assured and Wes have a deep expertise in servicing the Association Sector and currently represents approximately 10 industry and employer associations with all aspects of their workplace relations and HR services provided to members. HR Assured is the leading outsourced provider into the Association Sector and facilitates expert advice to over 100,000 individuals and businesses throughout the Country.
Wes is also regularly called upon and invited to deliver training and seminars upon a variety of employment issues across the entire employee lifecycle. As a workplace mediator, Wes also regularly conducts mediation sessions to address areas of conflict within the workplace.
