Professor Ivan Darby is head and chair of Periodontics at Melbourne Dental School. Ivan has run the postgraduate periodontics program for 15 years. In addition, he is in private specialist practice. An active researcher he has interests in periodontal microbiology and pathogenesis and implant outcomes. He is the editor of the Australian Society of Periodontology’s journal and the current Federal President of the ASP. Recently, he has been a chief investigator on the EviDent “Say Ah” project looking at medical and patient knowledge and management of halitosis.
