Dr Garima Sharma worked as a general dentist in both public and private clinics in Sydney for many years before undertaking her specialist training in Endodontics. Garima completed her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics from the University of Adelaide, and was awarded the G.O. Lawrence Scholarship during her specialist training by the University of Adelaide.

Garima has published research papers in both national and international journals.

Garima is a honorary clinical educator at University of Sydney, teaching undergraduate students both at Westmead and Sydney Dental Hospital and works at a private practice in Sydney. 

Garima is the current President of Australian Society of Endodontology (NSW branch).
