Dr Claire Scott is the acting Head of Dentistry at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, a role that includes Sydney Dental Hospital and Sydney Local Health District Oral Health Clinics and operating rights at the other acute, teaching hospitals across the District. 

Claire has over 20 years’ experience in hospital dental practice managing a wide range of medically compromised patients, and providing oral health assessments and treatment for inpatients and complex outpatients under local and general anaesthetic. She also manages dental trauma and infection presenting to the hospital Emergency Department.

Claire has a clinical interest in the management of Head and Neck cancer patients and provides oral health assessments and work-ups for newly diagnosed patients from LifeHouse and follow-up care managing the short and longer-term side effects of treatment.
