Dr Brett Dorney graduated from Sydney University in 1971 and received his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons in 1985. He has also been awarded fellowships from The Academy for Sports Dentistry , the International College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International. Highlights of his career are teaching at Sydney University, Charles Sturt University and being a reviewer for the Australian Dental Journal.
He was Deputy Director of Dental services for the Sydney 2000 Olympics and Paralympics.

Dr.Dorney has been lecturing in Australia and overseas for the last 20 years on the Prevention and Treatment of Traumatic Dental Injuries. In June this year he will present the Mouthguard Workshop at the Academy for Sports Dentistry (ASD) annual symposium in San Diego. Dr. Dorney was president of the ASD in 2006 and last year received the distinguished member award.
