Dr Anastasia Bakopulou received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2007 in Caracas, Venezuela, where she then worked in private practice for several years before moving to Australia to pursue postgraduate studies. She obtained her Master of Philosophy in Orthodontics at the University of Sydney in 2011, followed by a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry Degree in Orthodontics in 2014. 

From 2015 to 2019, Dr Anastasia held the position of Clinical Educator in the Orthodontic Department of the University of Sydney. She was involved in the development and implementation of the Bachelor of Oral Health program within the orthodontic department where she taught the clinical and didactic component within this program. Additional teaching roles comprised orthodontic lectures for the Doctor of Dental Medicine cohort and clinical instructor for the Orthodontic Long Course for dental practitioners. 

Currently Dr Anastasia works in private practice at Chatswood Orthodontics.
