Treating dental trauma in specialist and general dental practice
This course will review and present the latest guidelines in treating dental trauma from four unique clinical perspectives. A traumatic dental injury results in acute transmission of energy to not only teeth but also surrounding structures. As such, a team approach is commonly indicated and this one day course emphasises the importance of input from the different disciplines in dentistry.
Drs Scott, Lim Dorney and Harlamb will highlight all the essential elements of dental traumatology, from the acute treatment phase to long term considerations, including possible tooth loss. On completion of the course, participants will have an appreciation of the challenges in dealing with dental trauma from four experienced and passionate clinicians in the field of traumatology.
Topics include
- Classification of Dental Injuries
- Assessment, Examination and Diagnosis of Dental Trauma
- Endodontic considerations in Trauma management
